The Ronald McDonald House at 901 East South Temple in Salt Lake City has expanded its facilities to accommodate 184 more guests. Last year they turned away nearly 700 families. Now they can accommodate families as large as five into their new rooms. Additional spaces include a large and updated kitchen; children’s play room, game room, wellness and fitness center, family theater, a great room and family gathering spaces on every floor; a spacious dining room and outdoor dining patio; outdoor courtyard with children’s play area, a sanctuary and more.

R&O Construction completed the expansion last week and will now begin the renovation of the existing space.

The Ronald McDonald House provides a place to stay for families traveling to Salt Lake City from surrounding states and rural areas in Utah to access specialized pediatric medical care in the city.

R&O expects to have the renovation completed by the fall.
