Both companies project a Spring 2017 opening for the University Place location

 Orem, Utah (Dec, 2, 2016) – Tucanos Brazilian Grill announced today the selection of Ogden’s R&O Construction to build-out the latest Tucanos restaurant at University Place, in Orem. The construction schedule is anticipated to allow for a spring 2017 opening.

“The new location at University Place will enjoy a greater seating capacity and an ability to provide even better service for our Utah County guests in an updated and vibrant atmosphere,” said Steve Oldham, president.  “We are confident that R&O Construction will be a strong partner to enable us to open quickly and seamlessly.”

R&O Construction, winner of the Excellence in Construction award by the Associated Builders and Contractors of Utah, will manage the interior build-out of a 7,500-square foot restaurant that will boast two private dining areas, a 1,000-square foot covered patio, an indoor/outdoor fireplace, and an outside fountain for guests to enjoy.  The expanded location will allow Tucanos to accommodate comfortably over 300 guests at one time.

Tucanos’ new location will continue to feature the parade of freshly grilled skewers of meat, the award-winning Salad Festival, and the friendly, personal service that people have come to expect from Tucanos. Many in the community are looking forward to the new space and the enhanced amenities the University Place location will offer.

Tucanos combines the unique serving style of the traditional Brazilian grilling experience with the flair and festivity of the beaches of Rio de Janeiro – an exhibition-style meal surrounded by flames and colors. Churrasco, a traditional method of barbecuing in Brazil, is known for giving big flavor and juicy texture to the meat. Once the meat is cooked to perfection, servers bring the 15 skewers of grilled meats, vegetables and pineapple which are carved tableside. The experience also includes an abundant and award-winning Salad Festival, which features over 70 hot and cold selections.
