A Summit County Questar Gas Operations Center, now under construction in Park City, Utah will seek LEED® Silver certification once construction is complete. R&O Construction and Think Architects are the design-build team.  The 8,000 square ft. Center will be located at 6375 Silver Creek Drive and is a steel building with stone and siding.

Buildings seeking LEED® certification are evaluated on seven categories: Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Energy and Atmosphere, Materials and Resources, Indoor Environment Quality, Innovation in Design and Regional Priority. Points are awarded for meeting the criteria set forth in each subcategory. Once a project has gotten a minimum level of points, it becomes a certified project. R&O Construction has assigned a project engineer to monitor the project’s LEED® process.

Completion is scheduled for mid-November 2013.
